Biswangan Shiksha Niketan is a beacon of hope for the barefoot children of local tribes and marginalized communities in Kumirmari Island and the adjacent islands of the Sunderbans, the deltaic region of the River Ganges in West Bengal. Established on 21st April 2025, as an initiative of the Biswangan Foundation, our school is dedicated to providing quality education and holistic development to children who have long been deprived of such opportunities.

Why We Exist
The Sunderbans, with its unique geographical challenges, is home to some of the most marginalized communities in India. Children here often grow up without access to proper schooling, healthcare, or opportunities for personal growth. Biswangan Shiksha Niketan was born out of the urgent need to address this gap and provide these children with a chance to
dream, learn, and achieve.
